I've got MySQL for Linux, I don't know how to install it since I'm newbie in Linux Enviroment... Tell me step by step to complete tasks. |

| 1) you've to be root or have enough rights over the filesystem 2) get the latest rpm 3) rpm -i 4) follow README instructions 5) it's done |

| this is in Red Hat. make sure you are logged in as ROOT in rpm: 1)rpm -Uvh packagename.rpm 2)service mysqld start to start in tar: 1)tar -zxf package.tar.gz 2)cd package 3)./configure 4)make 5)make install 6)and start mysql by /usr/bin/mysqld |
