Hi Experts .. I installed phptriad on windows me operating system . i run "start apache" and "start mysql" and i wrote :<A HREF="http://localhost">http://localhost</a> in the browser. I was trying to run mysql daabase by clicking :PHPMyAdmin link , but i got this error : "Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10050) in C:\apache\htdocs\phpmyadmin\lib.inc.php on line 255 Error" i also opened the DOS prompt and typed : mysql in the directory : c:\apache\mysql\bin but i got also this error : error 2003 :cannot connect to mysql server on 'localhost' 10050 Any idea ??? |

| GRANT table, I don't know "phptriad" but I guess it's more or less like "easyphp". Personally I configure the three lines of configuration files myself and it always works fine at the first try. I'm not even sure that mySqld is running you should launch WinMySqlAdmin to check it out and control server's stats and behaviour (including configuration and GRANT tables ;-) |

| or type in mysqld <enter> to start the background server daemon - normally you will need to be in the *mysql/bin/ directory unless you have added this dir to your PATH. type %PATH% to check. |
