| hello, you don't give away enough information. What is your connection type ? xDSL ? cable ? POTS modem ? is your "modem" (in a wide acception) detected ? What is the protocol used by your ISP ? PPPoE ? PPPoA ? PPP ? à part from this, the solution probably lies using some shell functions : adsl-setup or modify /etc/ppp/chap-secrets and /etc/ppp/pap-secrets think of the firmware update for PPPoA : /etc/ppp/peers/ueagle-atm (ueagle is the driver for the Sagem 800 network terminal, so-called "adsl modem") modprobe pppoatm pppd call ueagle-atm |
