This may seem like a trivial question but... how can I "read" memory locations from RAM (ie: location 0000:7c00 => ?). I'm trying to find the MBR (Master Boot Record) after it gets loaded into memory. It's supposed to be loaded at location 0000:7c00, but the only way I can think of to "peek" this location is with DOS's DEBUG. When I "Dump" this location, the expected values are not there! Is there another way (program) to look directly at memory locations in RAM? Thanks, bulloney |

| on which platform are you developing ? true DOS ? it's feasible then Windows ? Heading for problems "for your own wellfare" For instance, a Turbo-Pascal 3.0 (1987) would have read this area of memory with those two entities : Mem and some blockread in memory |
