Gulen Morgen Sir, Thanks 4 the Msi help. I will like U 2 give me some advice. I do intend 2 get an External Hard disk jacket (i.e. one using a USB port 4 power), so dat I can begin large storage using hard drives. I had failed in dis respect when flash drives came hence my stress with questions. Where I work(IT), my supervisors adviced me dat I shouldn't go 4 it becos it won't last. Wishing U blessed day. |

| as far as I know, nowadays small enclosures for 2,5 " drives work well on USB power and offer nice storage capaities. I have an external USB/firewire enclosure since some years (250GB, external power of course) and it works well. I mounted the drive I wanted in it. So your problem is rather "will I buy a long-lasting hard drive to fit in?" ;-) given you probable don't have a fan inside to evacuate heat, I suggest to stay away from modern IBM, WD and Maxtor drives alike, and would go for a Barracuda. (it's Seagate, in case you don't know) have fun and happy storage. |
