Gulen Morgen,

Thanks 4 the advice. Starting to get Firefox, Thunderbird and Open files.
I have this laptop though (Dell Latitude CP). It has a sound driver installed on it and has win Xp operating.
But when playing music files, there is no audible sound. I've checked almost every sound-related setting and made necessary corrections like increasing speaker volume.Win Xp has no problem with the driver in device manager. The highest I get from all this is sound from head phones connected to the head phone port. However, no sound from the Laptop speaker.

I do want 2 reinstall the sound driver but I need ur advice.

Thanks 4 ur kind help.
