I'm trying to create a form that will browse a field in a database and allow rich text editing and updating this field. I got the form to database part, thanks to a script from bewebmaster.com, and I need to push the HTML tagged text back into the textarea so that the tags will be evaluated and wont show: i.r., text within <B> tags will be bold, etc. The text comes from a text field in a MYSQL via PHP. |

| well? I also did this kind of tool, and if I remember well, it's just a matter of setting the textatera's value (between textarea and /textarea) to the retrived text from the DB... If you only addslashes() it upon writing, you should be able to just do that. To better help you, perhaps you could show me a data sample of what you have in your DB as HTML (alternatively, the small piece of code which writes the FORM field to the DB) regards |
