Hello VGR,

Quite a long time and I trust ur doing fine.I m having exams now and so have been really off.
Pls, can you advice me on deciding which web hosting company on the net would be good for me to host a website? I ask bcos I really need one very soon.

Secondly, what do you suspect as the cause of having some programs (e.g. NOTEPAD.EXE, SciTE)on windows behave like this:

on clicking menus, you get the clicked menus having to show some white backrounds (just around the menus)?

Lastly, recently wanted to mail HI 2 you but didn't go. 2 confirm ur email address --> ( string res= (uremail==vgraux@easynet.be) ? "yes","no"; )

for web hosting, it really depends on the country/language you want, on the price you will accept, on the support level you require, on the size (pages+database) of your site, and on the technology required and your skills in it (ex: a PHP4U or a raw server ; a web-based mysql admin silly page, or a more powerful raw console access). It may also depend whether you trust a windows machine to serve http requests, or not ;-)

I only know some UK and France providers.

for your icons/menus, it smells like resource starvation : reboot windows, and if the problem occurs within less than 20 days of being online agan, then you probably are running into a hard disk failure very soon ;-)
(RAM failure is also possible, but not without having BSoDs ;-)

If your website is done using ASP or ASP.net, and you need SQL conection, I recommend Hostonce company: www.hostonce.com, relatively to other companies it's very cheap, yet has good support.
If you don't care about price, but need excellent, very fast support, then i recommend : www.discountasp.net.

Otherwise, check www.hostindex.com , you can enter all the hosting criterias you need, and they'll show all the offers.
