I have installed my application on a test server and want to run it from some clients. I have registered the BDE application and set up the Alias, however, when windows tries to execute the app it generates an error.

The App uses only standard controls and the BDE access components.

Hummmm a Delphi app is a pure 100% windows executable which needs no runtime (unlike Visual Basic, MFC or the like) but as you apparently need to use and register the BDE, you probably will need to deploy BDE files.

You may look at the first section of this page

I think you probably will need some kind of "Merge module" to add to your project, a bit like this executable from Borland on this Torry's page

best regards and merry Xmas
