The home page of a site is like a CV - You've got less than 30 seconds to impress your visitors before they move on.

When people visit a website, they judge it by the "look" (before considering the content) Not many people would choose brown & green as their favourite colours :-?
To turn "Visitors" into "Members", asthetics makes the first impression.

Content helps make Answers (& search engine ranking) - but new members help make content!

Well, it changes from blue and white...

if I count well, we use 3 brown shades, 2 green shades, white & black, one blue and purple. This is theoretically a sign of a good "professional looking" interface.

Do you have a better suggestion for colours ?

At least, I hope the unconventional colours do attire the unconventional visitors :D

I found this Colour match site interesting:
WellStyled.com

Predictably, i liked:
Mono Blues
Analogic Blues

Arial is quite nice too :)

ok, I'll look at the possibilities... As for the font-face, I've "always" been told Arial and Times New Roman are "unprofessional" and Verdana was the way to go ;-)

thanks
