I bought a domain name from godaddy, but the hosting i want is on hostbasket.com, how can say the domain name is on which host and ftp?

If you bought some hosting at hostbasket.com, you should have received that information (FTP host, login, password)

The domain bought at godaddy has to be configured afterwards to "point" to either the real host (redirecting Web access) or to hostbasket's DNS servers. The latter is the preferred and most common choice. Again, you should have received that information from your hosting company.

In any case, whois is your best friend to "look after" changes in your domain's settings (mainly DNS servers) and traceroute & ping can also be useful to determine which host hosts what ;-)

In Godaddy, after logging in to your account, and picking "my account" , you need to enter the DNSs for server where u need to host. The DNSs are given to you certainly by the hosting company.
