| It all depends in your internet connection. If you use ADSL or Cable you should have a unique IP. Lets say, "213.56.78.98". Your router will have an internal IP, like "172.26.0.1", while your computer has "172.26.0.2". Your "private" IP can be used to access the website in your local computer, but if you want to access your computer from the internet, you must use your public IP. (You can check it here -> http://checkip.dyndns.org). If you have dial-up, your IP will vary, so I'm not sure at all if you can do this. Assuming you have unique IP, this is only the start... as you need also to configure your router and your computer (firewall, web server, etc...) You could post details, as if you use firewall, the server are you using (Apache, IIS, etc.), your connection, the router you have (or connection), etc. Regards. |

| I even did a nice little tool (windows, sorry) that sends the DHCP-ed machine's current IP@ to a web page (the webserver being not itself, of course), which in turn redirects HTTP queries, thus enabling the whole world to always see the machine whatever its IP@ it's the solution of the poor, but it works. |
